The Century of Türkiye Education Model emerged as the result of a decade-long comprehensive study, not just the efforts of the past year.

 

During the curriculum preparation process, extensive exchanges of views and analyses were conducted based on public reflections, and meetings were held. All this accumulated knowledge was compiled as data in the summer months of last year, and this data was systematised.

 

In forming the skills framework of the model, twenty workshops were organised with the participation of academics, teachers, and other education stakeholders. Subsequently, teams were formed for each course, which completed the curriculum preparations by holding hundreds of meetings.

 

Since just the summer months until now, meetings have been held with more than 1000 teachers and academics, with over 260 academics and over 700 teachers continuously participating in these meetings.

 

Additionally, more than 1000 education stakeholders, including academics and teachers whose opinions were consulted, worked together. All units within the Ministry's central organisation also worked intensively on the curriculum.

 

Following a one-week public display period, "The Century of Türkiye Education Model" will be revised by the Board of Education in line with the final criticisms, views, suggestions, and contributions, reaching its final form.

 

The new curriculum will be gradually implemented starting from the next academic year in preschool, the first grade of primary school, the fifth grade of middle school, and the ninth grade of high school.
